| Parent Homework: 1. Ask your child if he or she turned in their Field Site Visit notebook, food chains, food web, and specimen sheets. They were due Nov. 21st. (A few students did not turn them in yet!) Grades close Friday for the marking period. 2. Does your child feel faint at the sight of blood, or when blood is even being discussed? If so, please send me a note or an e-mail about this, so I can call you to discuss the next unit of study: the Human Circulatory System. From time to time, this unit is a bit of a challenge for children who are overly sensitive about blood.

Great
Idea!!! Put a Hold on your plans to teach the class about
your ecosystem until I return your Field notebooks, food chains, food
webs, and specimen sheets. That will make it easier for you to
decide what and how to share with the class. |

| October | Remember, 2 brains are better than 1. Discuss your ideas with a study buddy. Talking about what we've been learning will help you think of more topics to write about. |
| October | Our CT Environment "Press Conference" was a huge success! Today in study hall, several of you drafted a letter to send to the DEP with suggestions of how to help CT's Box Turtles! I am so proud of your concern for the wildlife in our state. |
