Friday, Nov. 14 - Finish highlighting your CT Watersheds map.
Thursday, Nov. 13 - Study for tomorrow's quiz.
Wednesday, Nov. 12 - 1. Study the 3 diagrams you made in class today.
Tuesday, Nov. 11 - 1. Study a little each night for a quiz Friday about the water cycle, underground water, the layers of soil and water underground, wells, aquifers, etc.
2. Finish your "Water Use" Parts 2 and 3: Data Analysis for Friday.
Monday, Nov. 10 - 1.Finish "Water Use" family survey, print out your results, and
bring them to class.
2. Finish your labels and definitions on your Water Cycle Diagram.

Wednesday, Oct. 29 - Work on your "T" Chart Naked Eye Observations.
Tuesday, Oct. 28 - 1. Bring Geology books in.
2. Bring in your drawings and data and rock for the Rock Profile lab.

Monday, Oct. 27 - 1. Geology Unit Test is tomorrow.
2. Weathering, Erosion, and Glacier "Brainpops" are due tomorrow.
They will count as graded homework assignments.
3. All Geology books must be turned in before you can get your new

Friday, Oct. 24 - 1. Study for Tuesday's Unit Test!
2. Complete the "Weathering, Erosion, and Glacier "Brainpops".
I'll collect them Tuesday, before you take your test. They will count as
graded homeworks.
Thursday, Oct. 23 - 1. Fill in the "Weathering" graphic organizer as you read the handout.
2. Jeopardy for final review will be Monday....Test Tuesday!
Wednesday, Oct. 22 - Study ONLY the Rock Cycle tonight for a comprehension check
tomorrow just about the Rock Cycle!
Tuesday, Oct. 21 - Complete your "Rock Cycle" review packet for tomorrow.
Monday, Oct. 20 - Study for the Geology Test!

Friday, Oct. 17 - 1.Take-Home Quiz is due Monday.
2. Geology Test is Friday, Oct. 24. Look at your Study Outline, and
use the last page of it to determine a study schedule for yourself from
today until next Friday. Break it down into chunks for each day.
Thursday, Oct. 16 - 1. Finish the Rock Cycle review sheets for tomorrow.
2. Take Home Quiz due Monday.
3. Rock Profile Lab will be due after the Geology Unit, so
students will have plenty of time to identify some of the minerals in their rock.
Wednesday, Oct. 15 - Organize your Rock Profile Lab papers, clip them together, so you
don't lose any pieces.
Tuesday, Oct. 14 - Rest your brain.
Monday, Oct. 13 - Organize your notes and handouts, and prepare for the Take-Home quiz
I'll give you tomorrow about Plate Tectonics (Chapter 1)

Friday, Oct. 3 - Read and take notes on pages 114-123. Don't forget about pants and closed-toe shoes for Monday!
Thursday, Oct. 2 - 1. Continue to collect rocks. (Remember safety: goggles, work
gloves if you're using picks and hammers, permission from an adult
to collect where you want to, go with a buddy or buddies, etc.)
2. Study sections of your book and notes that you are unclear about.
Wednesday, Oct. 1 - 1. Make your "Plate Tectonics" quiz corrections on a separate piece
of paper.
2. Bring in your rock collection, if you forgot to bring it to school
today.
Tuesday, Sept.30 - NO SCHOOL
Monday, Sept. 29 - 1. Lab pants/socks for labs later in the week.
2. Bring rocks and minerals to school Wed.

Wednesday, Sept. 24 - 1. Complete "Types of Faults" worksheet.
2. Use your "geologist" and puzzle pieces to start learning about
the different faults.
Tuesday, Sept. 23 - Finish reading pages 42-50 in your textbook.
*** Have fun "personalizing" your geologist!
Monday, Sept. 22 - a. Finish "Ocean Floor Spreading" worksheet.
b. Explain your model to someone. This will help you study to take the mini quiz tomorrow of the diagram.
c. Don't forget index cards and large Zip-Lock baggie.

Tuesday, Sept. 9 - a. Read pages 4-13, & add more questions to your "KWL".
Monday, Sept. 8 - a. Cover your Science book with a brown grocery bag.
b. List some things you want to know about Geology, and
questions you have about Geology for your "KWL".

weekend, think about any ideas you would like us to add to the letter
